Editorische Anmerkung:
Die englische Liedfassung entstand offenbar vor dem Hintergrund der deutschen Version "Brüder, zur Sonne, zur Freiheit". Darauf deutet neben der Herkunftsangabe auch die Form mit drei Strophen hin. Inhaltlich ist der englische Liedtext jedoch unabhängig vom deutschen.
